ESLW Best Student Talk Award for Nor Ammouri

Nor Ammouri was honored with the Best Student Talk Award for the best presentation at the European Semiconductor Laser Workshop 2024 (ESLW) in Kassel.

In her presentation, she showcased 2 mm and 4 mm broad-area laser diodes, operated using a nanosecond pulse driver developed at FBH. A peak pulse power of 364 W was achieved with a pulse current of only 167 A, within a narrow spectral bandwidth of less than 0.2 nm in the nanosecond range. By developing an epitaxial structure with five wavelength-stabilized active zones and four tunnel diodes, the pulse power was increased by more than threefold.
