Devices with DBR (Distributed Bragg Reflector) Mirror Layers

Ultrapure DBR mirrors are used e.g. for applications in metrology, for the next generation of atomic clocks or for precision measurements to test quantum electrodynamics.

To generate ps- and fs-laser pulses, we develop saturable semiconductor absorbers (SAM) together with partners who use them in commercial pulsed solid-state lasers.
