FBH involved in research fab for quantum and neuromorphic computing: Germany-wide cooperation "FMD-QNC"
The Germany-wide cooperation of FMD (Research Fab Microelectronics Germany) with other partners on quantum and neuromorphic computing (FMD-QNC) has started. The development of the necessary technical and structural infrastructure is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. FBH contributes its expertise in gallium arsenide and gallium nitride-based beam sources and their heterointegration. The aim is to develop and manufacture compact systems for the generation, modulation and distribution of optical signals. Such modules form an important basis for the realization of quantum computers and quantum sensors that can be used practically beyond prototypes.
